Since when did Marshall fans become so arrogant?

I'll go ahead and promise you, you're never going to play us again once you depart the league, outside of maybe a bowl game. Not really personal, but you don't fit what we are looking for in OOC games.
Agreed. Good luck to you in the future, though.

So then any team can come into CUSA, win their division more than any other team in said division, and tie for the most CUSA Championships with ECU? Come on, I get why you're upset but don't act like losing UCF isn't a loss. I would say 1/2 of the top programs are leaving, as UCF/Houston/SMU are currently on the same footing as ECU/USM/Tulsa.

C-USA is losing it's top offensive team and it's top defensive team. It's also losing half of the total championships.

Yeah most of the best. Houston is having a great year right now, so that will certainly be a loss. UCF is up and down, but certainly a loss. SMU is getting on track a little, but still not there yet, not as big a loss. I'd say Tulsa, ECU, and USM have had roughly the same if not better success over the life of new C-USA than the group leaving. The MWC is taking a much bigger hit than us in this. They are losing the only relevant team in their league.
Yeah I didnt mean that as you took it ECU USM Tulsa > Houston UCF SMU
I agree, but those are IMO the best 6 programs in the conference at this point in time. It's a pretty step decline once you get past those. Marshall and UTEP have all the potential to get right up there in that group and hopefully they do. UAB, Memphis, Rice, and Tulane have work to do, in all areas. I would say it's no coincidence that those 4 have the worst stadium situations. All could use OCS's in the worst way.

Id have to admit Houston has been up and down. Keenum obviously helped the program. My belief is Houston finally has a president in place who values athletics and has placed significant empahsis on development of these programs. The prior administration had little respect for the athletic side of the university experience and it was a major reason Houston could not sustain successs. Since president Khantor came in 2008, the entire athletic picture at UH has steadily improved. I think Houston will be much more consistant with this president and actualy has a chance to be as strong or stronger than it was in the 70's. Youd be suprised how much difference it can make when the entire administration is on the same page instead of fighting one another. It can definitly affect the on field results. Thank God those days are behind us.

Houston is currently good however there has been no longevity that I've seen. They also had a Fraternity play their hoops like 40 years ago.
UCF & SMU we're good once. SMU paid there way to the top & UCF recently did pretty well. Both of their hoops are worthless.
So again the best part is we have a national power in Memphis that tops all but UCONN in their Step Down. We have Southern Miss & ECU that have real tradition & fan support. (Not paid-for tradition & peewee football atmospheres) Plus they have the longevity unlike those stepping down.
Oh and in football the west did lighten up a tad with Houston leaving though I highly doubt once Keenum is gone they woulda been able to hang. SMU is as pointless as they will be in the Big East. In the East we do lose a team that has new money recent success but as shown this year it's not like we lose a world beater by any means.
So for those of us not stepping down to a lesser conf by all means feel free to laugh at them. That's what the 3 Stooges would want.
UH is inconsistent but a sleeping giant in football and basketball. The football has the potential to become Miami circa 1983-2002 (no, I'm not exaggerating) and the basketball program can become another Louisville, Cincinnati, Memphis, Illinois (i.e. a second tier power).
Wow, I've always respected Houston...but that's nowhere near true. When Keenum leaves, UH football does too.

Neither ECU or UCF has the most championships...BTW, UCF is on an upswing right now. They'll be back down as soon as their coach gets poached by a real football program. UCF hasn't been in D1 long enough to handle the success and the failure.
