The Opening Drive on JOX
Tony Kurre gave us 3-4 minutes of quality input from his bully pulpit between 7:55 and 8:00. He said he had talked to Mackin yesterday and Brian gave him a lot of info but wasn't ready to come on the air and discuss it right now. The other two guys either agreed or were silent on the points made.

So if you were late for work like me, you heard it.

In other words, Spine Lackin' needs more time to memorize the talking points that PBJ gave him.

Before you call him spineless we may need to get all the facts. Apparently a bloody fight took place Monday.

Definitely agree to AB's comments. I haven't seen anything that would make me think that Mackin didn't stand up.

And before it is mentioned, Mackin didn't have as much control 5 years ago.

While most, if not all, are upset about the OCS being taken off the agenda, some are looking for a scapegoat to attack. Pretty soon, Attalla, you will be next because of your insider info that you kindly shared with us.

I am waiting for more information to come to light before I start to point the finger. I hope that I don't have to wait too long. I also hope that the information actually comes to light. I am one who tries not to make accusations based on heresay.

Mackin is our athletic director, and our only option to spearhead the official wing of this fight.

Therefore, all past disappointments are forgotten. As I told him yesterday, I support our athletic director and any action he sees fit to execute. Period.

Plus one!

I am sending him an e-mail right now requesting 2 club level seats in the new stadium.

Did you get the impression that the bloodshed is over, or he's gearing up for the next round?

Has the board come out with any goal for UAB to meet?

If there is no goal, then how can we know if we met it or will meet it?

Regardless of what he might have done wrong, it is in the past, and I know Brian is a Blazer at heart.

And I see Dr. G at every game that I attend, and she is as passionate a Blazer fan as anyone.

You can bet the next AD and or University President will be neither a Blazer or a sports fan. This may be the hill on which we lose our leaders, if so, lets make sure it is at least a fair fight and give them all the support and help that we can. And let them know you are behind and beside them in this fight.

Amen!

+1

If we're going to voice our displeasure with Brian over certain things, like we did with the extension last year, we have to give him the respect and support needed for taking a stand now. Brian needs to know we're behind him on this. Really, how many other alumni/fan bases have the open access to their AD that we do to ours? Send him an email of support and let him know the Blazer Family is behind him! He's our AD and our voice. I've been critical at times when I didn't like what was happening, but I sure as hell suppoprt him fighting for UAB!

Go Blazers!

it seem very frustrated because he was ready ,,,plan, land swap , location etc
He sold everything expensive (luxury boxes etc)
And the worst part was ........
IT seem that the next meeting in february the OCS wont be on the agenda
The good part is (if I CAN said the good part)
That conversation was done before the bad new hit the mass
Maybe the manifestation from thursday , friday and for the rest of the existence of UAB football,,,,, will have a impact.

I am very disappointed
just read my car tag and you know what I think about those guy
