RE: Congrats to UCF,UH and SMU....again
The vitriol is uncalled for. The bottom line is this: The schools you want to take shots at and call traitors, blame your plight on, etc. aren't the ones you should be pissed at.

Be pissed at the administrations at the bottom feeders of the conference who wouldn't/won't invest in their football programs. Be pissed at Alabama for holding down UAB. Be pissed that all of those things have gone a long way at keeping C-USA from being a good football conference.

Don't be upset at the few of us who have made the investments (and yes, been fortunate to have great markets) that enticed a more lucrative conference to come calling, and don't pretend that you wouldn't support the same decision from your own administration if the roles were reversed.

Fu*k off. Glad you think it's funny, I sure as hell don't.

Yes, because life as we know it will end because one of your favorite sports teams can't play at the highest level. 03-melodramatic

Most, if not all of the UH, SMU and UCF fans I've seen have been very humble about this and so have I. We know that we're were fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to make this happen and also to be fortunate to be located in large media markets. We know ECU, Southern Miss and UTEP (to a lesser extent) have the fan support and potential to do well at a BCS-AQ level.

Our programs are just doing what any others, including yours, would do if given the chance. So don't take it out on me or any UH fan and be bitter and jealous because we got our ticket to the big time. A decade and a half ago and despite being a nationally relevant program in the SWC, Houston was left for dead when we were demoted from the SWC so it's not as if we haven't paid any dues.

If there's any justice, ECU will have it's well deserved shot at being apart of this unethical cartel as well but because just you aren't doesn't mean it's right to denigrate others. So just be happy for us and we hope to see you one day rise to where we are. 04-cheers

You mean rise to the level of playing in a high school stadium in front of 30k fans? I sure hope we never rise to that level.

Being located in large cities.

You know much more than that went into the selection :)

Or else Rice would be a first pick 04-jawdrop04-cheers

dumb***, Rice is in Houston--as in home of the Cougars

Proves the point even more that all you really are is a member of the "Lucky Sperm Club" - just like Paris Hilton

Are you suggesting Rice isn't in a large city? 01-wingedeagle

I was pointing out the absurdity of the accusation that ONLY being in a large city got the pick. It's okay, lemme substitute Tulane. Better? 04-cheers

First off, if you hadn't gotten word (and I'm sure you have) we have a 40-50K seat stadium planned and second, we could play Reliant if we wanted to. Houston has a long proud history of athletic prowess so be careful talking about how unworthy we are of being selected to be apart of this.

You're right, Houston's offense just won't be the same without Kevin Kolb.

Oh wait.

Look at the year before Keenum...Kevin Kolb and a CUSA championship. Terrible argument...

Why the hate towards UH? Did UH personally prevent ECU from being selected by an AQ conference? All I see lately is hate spewing from ECU & USM fans towards UCF, UH, & SMU. *NEWS FLASH*, our 3 schools had nothing to do with you being excluded! If anything your venom should be directed at people that actually prevented you from being in an AQ conference or the ones that looked over you. I don't see any fans of UH, UCF, or SMU gloating about it, it is mostly the contrary. Rather all I see are fans of USM & ECU bashing the ones that got selected.

ECU of all schools, who has been applying to the BE for years and had their senators/governor draft a letter for their inclusion recently. I respect ECU, but you're a damn joke b0ndsj0ns.

Cool deal dude. Nice to hear you may eventually have 40-50k seats. That's big time right there. I don't know how we could possibly compete with that. 03-cloud9

I don't think that at all. I'm a big fan of Sumlin & Keenum. They are both a couple of class acts from where I sit.
