Why is Paul Bryant Jr. screwing around with UAB? Because he has been getting away with unethical acts for years--and it's a matter of public record.

His company, Alabama Reassurance, was implicated in a $15 million insurance fraud scheme in Pennsylvania in the late 1990s. This resulted in a 15-year prison sentence for a Philadelphia lawyer/entrepreneur named Allen W. Stewart. An investigation was launched into Alabama Re after the Stewart case, but someone in the U.S. Department of Justice called it off.

The mainstream press has not, and probably will not, touch this story. But a man with clear ties to massive insurance fraud sits on the UA Board of Trustees and helps control UAB.
