Not being snarky. Just pointing out that a bake sale will be just as effective as a petition of a bunch of students. The only thing that will turn this around is big money threatening to withhold funds for something dear to the BOT. I don't know what that is, or even if it exists.

I frankly see the writing on the wall. Others need to also and put their energy into saving basketball from the Sun Belt or Atlantic Sun.

The snarky is not resounding well with folks. It's quite frankly poor taste right now.

Memphis you can be a smart arse all you want, but think about this. Football is what drives the bus down here. So as soon as football goes, what makes you think that basketball isn't next to be attacked?
Alot of fans are football fans, or want to be football fans. I for one am like Smaug, I like football. I only go to basketball games because

1: I'm an alumni
2: My wife likes basketball (in general) more than football

But attalla is right, don't think now is the time for witty comments.

This is exactly why we should've been a little more concerned when the BOT appointed Portera to nix D1 hockey.

I agree. Unless you can come up with a better idea either keep your snide comments to yourself or go sign the petition.
