Do you notice the trend?

Sure I see it. ASU is going to be talented this year, I have no doubt about that. I just don't agree Brady is better than JJ. Barring his on the court accomplishments, the best thing he has done is increase interest in the program. We went from having terrible attendance to having attendance near the top of the sun belt.

The same can be said about JJ that you said, He took this program from nowhere to a contender, and all that has paid off now with the recruits coming in. When he took over, this program was nowhere and had very little talent. Do I think ASU is better? Yes, but I don't think we're that far behind, and that all depends on T. Mitchell and if he really is the player people think he is. You can argue that his success has happened because of transfers, and you have a point. But alot of sun belt schools have taken in transfers that did not pan out. The fact is Josh White, Tristan Thompson, and Shannon Shorter were not highly regarded players, and they contributed to 4 20 win seasons in a row. He took this program from the dregs to a consistent winner. Marling, Brady and FAU's coaches are all fine coaches, I like Marlin the most out of the bunch, but this, just like the best running back in history thread is going to be mostly people proclaiming their own coach, and own running back. Everyone including myself has pride in their coach and thinks he's the best. I'll just leave it at that. One thing we can all agree on, the level of coaching in the sun belt has improved greatly, that can only mean good things for the conf. and I hope we can improve the OOC play from last season, which was dreaful.

Your comparison of Coaches and Runningbacks are apples and oranges. It is a matter of opinion, but here are the resumes of Brady, Jarvis and Marlin. All three of taken less talent at previous programs and won in the NCAA tournament, and beaten better teams. Now all three are turning around Sun Belt programs in the same manner, with less talent at this point. As you stated Johnny Jones has 4-20 win seasons in the Sun Belt, so he is a good coach and there is no debate with that statement. Having said that, Jone's resume is UNT and that is it. He has never taken anyone else's talent and won with it. I base my opinion on that fact, what I've seen and from the opinions of several people I respect that have been around college basketball for over 40 years. We can disagree on it, that's fine in my book.

With runningbacks, production matters. While we can argue about running styles or who was the best all-around runningback, the numbers don't lie period. It's hard enough to stay healty one season just to rush for a 1,000 yards, much less four straight years. And to be one of only seven runningbacks in the history of the NCAA to do so makes Fenroy the indisputable best. End of story!

So you like your coach, we like ours. So you like your RB and we like ours (plural).............what else is new ?......moving on.04-rock

Exactly, the Cajuns like Fenroy, I like Cobbs, they like Marlin, I like Jones you're not gonna get a consensus on either topics. I'm Done battling with the Cajuns fans, they can do as they please, I don't have any ammunition that can overcome a simple 30-10 reply from them. Enjoy New Orleans this year, and we'll agree to disagree, have your fun this year you've definitely earned my respect. Now that you've had your one brain fart game, you can focus on getting to ten wins. I hope you do, and hope we'll be able to play 4 quarters against ya'll next season at home, I expect our team to be pretty decent next year.

Man, when that shoe is on the other foot... arrogance is a tough pill for NT fans to swallow.

Dont worry, man...Y'all will be in CUSA soon so y"all can talk down to us!!

I'm a huge fan. Jarvis spoke to our radio guys before a game when he was up here and I was just really impressed with him. I know he made mistakes at St. Johns but the guy is just a high caliber person and he flat out knows basketball. I kind of have a man crush.

UNT Bottom Line - UNT brings in some good recruits, some say the best recruiting class in many years. BUT..............these guys have got to gel together as a team, offensively and defensively. That will take more than a first season. Not this year UNT fans, maybe next year. Maybe our team will prove me wrong.

That sounds like a compliment to me. You can't just say thanks and move on?

Have you been so beaten down all these years that you can't see something for what it is?

I hope your cajuns (football and basketball) can pull off some more victories too. For the betterment of the belt and all teams. The belt needs improvement in basketball so that we can send more than a conference tournament champion every year. It's about damn time we get some good coaches involved. I like Marlin as a coach too, but you can have him. Jarvis, I kind of don't like. Brady? Sure, he's okay too. I'll take Johnny Jones.

If you think that we would trade McCarney for Hudspeth, you're out of your mind. We just want your wins, and maybe some of your players, not your coach.

It's not surprising to you that people from their respective schools are blowing sunshine up everyone else's asses, is it? Because that's exactly what's happening here.

Why does everything I post get a reply from someone thats unwarranted and misunderstood? My post was a simple compromise, I was doing nothing but complimenting the cajun fans, saying I have no right to talk **** after we lost, and I was happy you guys were winning this year and hope you get to 10 wins. What part of "you have earned my respect" is arrogance? What part of "I can't say anything because they beat us 30-10" is arrogance? What part of having pride in your own coach/former running back is arrogance? Those two topics are going to be matters of opinion regardless. I'm trying to be civil here, I think of been pretty complimentary of the Cajuns and have ceased fighting with CajunT because you guys deserve to post whatever the hell you want this year, you're going to New Orleans, why should I care?

Sheesh, my only intentions were to compliment your team and say next years game at Apogee will be competitive unlike this one, I didn't say we're gonna destroy ya'll next year!!!! LOLZ. No, and arrogance is the one thing you're not going to find in my posts. The only game I have predicted us to win this whole season is FAU, I have no right to be arrogant. 13-59 over six years haha. All I was trying to say was I'm happy you're winning, You've earned my respect, I make sure not to drop that extra L in there thanks to a couple of your posters who are really respectful and good guys, I just don't understand how my posts keep getting misinterpreted. WTF...
