I know that ESPN is supposed to be the root of all evil to a lot of people around here, but this is an AP wire story not written by ESPN. There's really no "spin" in this, either.

I still dont get how ND's position is any different then the other BE FB schools that have left or are looking to leave. ND NEVER promised to be a BE FB member unlike, BC,VTECH,MIAMI,TCU,SYRACUSE,PITT,LOUISVILLE,WVU and UCONN. If they all stuck together instead of following their own self interests (like all the ND haters say they are) the BE would be strong today.
ND is not the lord and savior of the BE. The lord helps those that help themselves

Like I have said before, him comments were wrong.
The death of the BE had to do more with clinging on to the BB roots, right or wrong.
