RE: RB Juwan Lewis Talks Eastern Michigan Offer
I guess this begs the question:

With Allen, Hill and Brumfield in this year's class and the depth we have for next year do we need any RBs in the 2012 class and if so how many?

To me, RB is a position, like QB but even more so, where you want to have a steady pipeline of developing talent. It's not that they need a RB to step in as a freshman in 2012 -- in fact, I'd probably expect them to redshirt (as Brumfield should have this year), given the depth, but then we'll have someone ready to step in behind Greene, Brumfield, and Allen in 2013 and behind Brumfield and Allen (or maybe ahead of them, depending on ability) in 2014. It's definitely not an immediate need for the team, but given the emphasis on the running game, English needs to make sure the team continues to be well-stocked with RBs for the future, and continuing to bring in 1-2 per class is the way to do that.

Regardless of how much depth EMU has there is always room for a high caliber recruit. Quantity is nice but you need quality too.

Is there anyway we can RS Juwan Lewis? This would provide a 2 year gap between him and the current RB's.
