Many UofL fans have wanted him to just shut up and coach, even before today. He definitely didn't consult anyone in PR before speaking.

Many of us have wanted him to do that for some time now. Rick forgets that he isn't in Lexington anymore. People in Louisville don't hang on his every word. We don't care to hear his opinion on anything but basketball. We don't steal his garbage like the UK fans in Lexington used to. (True Story). We won't come and get dirt from his yard. (Also a True Story)

All we want is for him to recruit and coach basketball. (And of course try to keep his pecker in his pants while doing it.)
