Non AQ Conference Changes
If the SEC goes to 14, Big12 to 12, ACC to 16, CUSA/MWC stays at 22 and the BE falls apart after losing UL, WV, and UConn and maybe Rutgers what happens to everyone left behind? Specifically I am wondering about FCS teams like ASU that have expressed an interest in moving up. Will we see new conferences created? Will the MAC and SunBelt expand? Or will the number of FCS teams be reduced as teams drop down to FCS rather than move up to FBS?
On the other hand the BE might survive after they lose UL and WV and maybe the ACC holds at 14 and their raid of MWC and CUSA teams drops the new conference down to 18 or so. Same question though, what happens to the rest of the FBS teams and the FCS teams looking to move up.
