Conference USA 2.0. The true, real Big East is dead.

The NEW Big East. Life goes on and nothing reamins the same, you can root for the Brooklyn Dodgers but that wont come again. You get stuck in the past then you will have no future.

BE will allow these programs to flourish just like Cincy, UL and USF did. BE is like a growth stock. There will be some good football teams out of this bunch and they won't be CUSA teams in a couple of years. Once these guys are on board, I will feel a lot better about the future no matter what.

For what it's worth Boise is a wonderful little city. The people are super friendly and they have excellent micro-breweries/bars/restaurants/etc. A very nice trip and they have ski slopes with 30 minutes of the stadium (I'm estimating)

ESPN is misleading the public. I think there has literally been no discussion of anything formal. Just flirtations.

Agree with all this. These teams will repeat the 03 additions, and in a few years will cease to be 'CUSA' teams... The NEW BE will be bigger (12 teams finally!), in big markets and very competitive. It will keep the AQ (like who would take that slot??). This is gonna be fun to watch.

I doubt the Boston Globe and NYT are going to publish flirtations under the moniker of "invitations".
