Finally! UCF and USF can finally establish one of the most natural rivalries college sports and build programs around it.

I know many UCF fans who support O'Leary don't like this....but what I see....is a coach that knows his team "generally" has more talent than it's opposition. Usually by a fair amount.

He runs a very vanilla offense....if it works great....if not Punt. Play sound defense and have good special teams and wait for the other team to make a mistake or just wait for your talent advantage to show through. I don't see much coaching going on there.....I will also admit.....Jim Leavitt at USF was very much the same way.

However, at the BE level.....there are a lot of good coaches there that can beat you with inferior talent. I have seen Schiano "outcoach" USF several times. Any team in the BE can sneak up on you and beat you.....so I don't think O'leary's present system will work in the BE.

If USF fans' hatred towards UCF is anything like UCONN fans' hatred towards BCU, this rivalry could get ugly.

I don't know about that, I just think he really isn't good at making changes when needed. USM last year, led 14-0 and lost, Kansas State, same thing. I can't believe it is conditioning.

pretty sure that has been the plan all along... give him a few years in the Big East and see who is interested in the job.

I have long said that I didn't think O'Leary is a quality football coach at the next level. I base that I what I see now and what I recall him doing at Georgia Tech. He was mostly an average coach.

I know many UCF fans have been frustated with him in the past but after the Liberty Bowl win.....you would have thought he had learned to walk on water. You could not say anything about the man.

Also, most UCF fans don't take kindly to USF fans making any remarks about O'Leary....regardless of reason or logic.
