Black and Tan (Guiness and Bass)

What can I say? On the West Coast, it is all imports and microbrews. You really don't know what you're missing if you said Budweiser.
REAL "Black & Tan" is Guiness and Harp....Irish Beers.

Never mix an Irish Beer (Guiness) with a British Beer (Bass) that was brewed to be served warm.

In a REAL Pub, when one orders a Black & Tan, you will get Guiness and Harp.

But yes...at others (ie.e Restaurants that try to be pubs, etc..), you can end up with a Bass in your Guiness.

Indeed thats a true Black and Tan. I've seen some people do Black & Reds which of course is Guinness and Killians. I've also seen Black & Whites where Guinness and a White Ale is used. But if you want a real Black and Tan its all about Guinness and Harp.

:stupid: 03-razz Good call on Smithwicks, best Irish red I've had

But the best beers in the world come from Belgium. Duvel, Hoegaarten, Leffe, the list goes on.
