Now that the schedule is finally out, what do you think your team's...or any team's in conference record will be. I think UofL will be 12-6...but could be anywhere between 14-4 to 11-7. I also think that the schools that play the tougher schedules may not win the conference because they will knock off each other and be subject to upsets coming off of emotional games, fighting injuries, and just plain tired toward the end of the season.

make that 10-6 with a possible 12-4 to 9-7.
(this post has been edited by Topper cause my brain don't work too well...I had an eighteen game confschedule in my head cause I dream of a ten team conference with round robin play...the only fair way to go )

I think your assessment of the Cards is dead on. We can be very good come March, but I think we'll have growing pains at the onset of the season. I expect somewhere between 7-10 losses overall (conference and non-conference), but a strong run in the Big East tourney. Even with 10 losses, I think we can get a 4 seed again with a good Big East tourney.

Villanova, hands down, is the favorite if you ask me. UConn a close second and maybe WVU, with their schedule, the surprise #3 team.

I see UC going 9-7 in conf. this year (7-9 worst case and 10-6 best case).....

Lot of that depends on things like:
will UC get super star frosh. guard Tyree Evans (will he escape rape allegations or not)
will Super Star Guard Vince Banks return to team (dad has aids...went back to GA. to help him)
will Armien Kirkland and James White finally play like they are capable.....

if all of the above came to pass, UC could easily go 10-6 or even 11-5 in conf.

if none of it comes to pass...UC is looking more at 7-9 or 8-8

go Cats!!!!!!!!
