Dustin White Selected As One Of The Top 50 Players To Watch By GolfWorld
With 13 career top-10 finishes, White is tied for first on school's career list in that category.

Sept. 11, 2002

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State senior Dustin White has been selected as one of the Top 50 male players to watch during the 2002-03 season by GolfWorld magazine in its Sept. 6 issue.

This is not the first national honor to be bestowed on the Pueblo West, Colo., native by the publication. White received College Player of the Week honors from GolfWorld in the March 15 issue of the magazine earlier this year.

White posted a single-season school record eight top-10 finishes in 2001-02 en route to earning an All-Pac-10 first team selection. Included in those top-10 efforts was a seven-shot victory at the Coastal Carolina Invitational, which earned him player of the week accolades. In recording his first career win, White, who began the year with 11 consecutive top-24 efforts, bested a field that featured six golfers ranked in the top 50 by Golfstat.

With a fourth place finish last week at the Badger Invitational, White recorded his 13th career top-10 effort, tying him with Jon Reehoorn for first on the school's all-time list in that category.

White and the rest of the WSU men's golf team returns to action at the Idaho Vandal Fall Classic, Sept. 28-29 at the University of Idaho Golf Course.
