continue to have this deal with ND in football??? The only winner here is ND. If they don't get to the bowl that they really want, they can fall back onto the Gator Bowl instead of a much more deserving BE team. I remember a couple of years ago when WV had a great season and was looking forward to a Gator Bowl berth and ended up in the Tire Bowl after getting screwed by ND and the conf deal with ND. The WV coach was right when he said "you are either in this conference or your not" I have heard people say that it's a great PR move for the conf or that this will entice ND to move to the BE if they decide to join a conference. 1)The only PR from this marriage has been of the Nightmarish variety. 2) No BCS conference should ever allow a non-member(football) to take their best bowl game berth whenever they don't get what they want. 3)If ND ever decides to join a conf, IMO it will be the B10. It will be a football decision and they are more a part of the B10(schedulng, location) than anybody else.(personally I don't ever see them leaving independent status because even if NBC doesn't renew their contract, somebody else will) I don't think this deal benefits the BE in any way, and I hope the conf tells them to either join or get lost.

If big East still had Miami or VT the conference would never agree to ND demands. Big East conference doesn't have 1 "premere" Ftooball school in it. Last Football championship from the remaining member took place in 1976 for Pete Sakes.

If Big east had a "premere" team like Miami,PSU,FSU,VT then the other schools would reley so much on ND

Didn't the Big East (when Miami & VT were still in the Conference) have an agreement with the Gator Bowl & Notre Dame? (Gator Bowl selected Notre Dame for their games in 1999 and 2003).

Yep, it is still the same agreement the Big East always had.
