OL/DL Recruiting
Not saying our OL or even DL recruiting has been bad over the past few years but it can be better. I think we need to get our DL kids from the south. Look at Bama and LSU's DL. They're not only big, but they are fast. They have kids around 6-3 290 to 310 that runs a 4.6 40 times. Hell LSU had a kid 6'5 250 that ran a 4.4. There really isn't much difference between a 3* and a 5* skill player. These kids on the line makes all the difference.

RE: OL/DL Recruiting
Ereck Flowers is the perfect OL/DL candidate for me. He needs to fix up his technique, but what OLineman doesn't need coaching at the next level to improve his game. And if he doesn't cut it at OT, the DT would be a perfect spot for him. Imagine him and Tyrique Jarrett in the middle of our DL for years to come.

Note: I know he has a soft verbal to the U, but with the likes of Shell coming to Pitt, maybe this changes his mind.. maybe it doesn't.

RE: OL/DL Recruiting
We've seen a lot of misses on the OL over the past several years. No doubt DL has been solid, but we need help on the OL - most definitely.

RE: OL/DL Recruiting
Wanny seemed to like smaller faster DLman. Not saying there is anything wrong w/ that, its just playing against the likes of Miami, FSU, Clemson, and VT, we not only need fast Linemen, we need to get bigger. The Oline is a wreck- in regards to recruiting. I know we got that 4 star OT, but at 6'6 275 he's either a Guard or a potential DE.

The name escapes me now, but I'm thinking that the top rated NJ recruit we got for DE 2 years ago will be moved to OT. I think they are redshirting him this year - Clemmins?
