Pitt Hockey
Any chances we see the Club team upgraded now that we're making the move?

RE: Pitt Hockey
I doubt it because the ACC does not sponsor hockey.

RE: Pitt Hockey
Yea thats true. It would be great to root for em regardless if ACC sponsored it or now. Title IX could be a reason not to play it though.

RE: Pitt Hockey
Like many other schools with club teams, ACC members do play club hockey but at a lower level than Pitt.

I think it would be great if Pitt could upgrade to Division 1. Anyway, Pitt needs more money to be put into other olympic sports rather than upgrading hockey (and the associated costs for a women's team as well). IMO, might as well take advantage of the new facilities that are being built.

If Pitt was to upgrade its Hockey program, I'd certainly support it more than Basketball. It'll be interesting to see how much the added TV money helps the other programs.

Well, if you have any property that has some of the shale gas, that would go a long way in providing some funds to upgrade the hockey program! Maybe there is Shale gas on property that Pitt owns which can pay for a stadium in Panther Hallow with all of the necessary road improvements! 03-wink

RE: Pitt Hockey
I'd rather see us upgrade our Men's Lacrosse team to play in the ACC.
