I disagree with this. It's not the system that isn't working, it's the players that we currently have making it difficult to transition.
Over the past few weeks I have seen WRs more wide open than I ever had in the past. It was good scheming and a good system. The QB just needs to hit these throws.
Secondly, ND is a good football team. I don't care what anybody else says. I think what we saw today was two improving defenses. Yes, ND shot themselves in the foot quite a few times with penalties, however, we also did a good job at keeping them in check. I thought that Floyd was going to run wild through this secondary and that just didn't happen.
The more talented team won today. That's part of why this isn't a real heartbreaker for me. ND has the horses.

RE: Pitt-ND Game thread
Tough loss. That's two by a combined seven points.
I think we may need to see a little Trey Anderson. Whether that is in certain packages or as the *future* starter. Time will tell. I agree with the above that we need to see some of the younger guys, whether or not they are better than the current starters. It will at least light a fire under their keisters.
Anyways, for the Pitt fans at least, check out Trey's HS highlight film. I think you will be impressed. BTW, his HS offense was HIGH OCTANE. He is a natural for Pitt's new no-huddle spread.
