I think the BE needs to move quickly. If they add those 5 schools, it will stabilize the conference. Then the New BE will be able to split from the BB schools and have a 12 school all sports conference and can have a championship game for increased revenue. The championship game can be held at either the Liberty Bowl or maybe at the Titan's stadium.

Forget Memphis and Marshall, miko...

Feels like UC was in that conference sometime in the last decade.

This would make absolutely no sense, terrible suggestion...

Troy and FIU would be better. Troy has an all-time winning record vs. Big East opponents.

Academically, UAB would be a better fit.

You did beat us in 1999 but, you were still D-IAA, and we were C-USA. Does that count?

I was keeping it real. Plus those were the schools that every one said MUST be invited to the BE as the only way to save the conference.

But if I would venture a guess, I believe that WVU, Rutgers and UCONN won't be in the BE in the near future anyways. In that case, I think Tulane, UH and SMU go to the BE, which would strengthen the conference even more in the long run.

Pitt and SU are still BE schools for the next 27 months.

Plus there are teams in the BE that I'd like to see make it to a soft landing place, so it's not like I want to ignore Pitt's past and the relationships it has built over the years.

If UConn stays, I don't want a merger with C-USA East. The only decent option is a merger with the Big 12 and have east & west divisions. Adding UCF would be ok. ECU would be marginal.

Miko, dude...seriously being in a conference with 900 CUSA schools is NOT a "soft landing" and I mean that as no offense to the CUSA schools.

I must say, most of those schools on the wish list can hold leads in their football games, so I could be game with that proposal.

Well I think at least 11 of those teams would be favored in a neutral site game vs PITT (just fuckin' with you. Really only 8 or 9).

But seriously, when your wife left you, I'm sure you wouldn't have appreciatiated her giving you advice on who to sleep with, especially if your performance hadn't been up to par.
