RE: GAME #3 - JACKSONVILLE
I'm looking forward to this game. I don't know if Jacksonville has fallen off so much or they have played decent competition. They tried to upgrade their schedule to help with a potential playoff berth but that has backfired with two losses (to mid to low scholly teams). I would have thought last year they could have blown out CSU, to play that close gives me pause.
I think this is a winnable game for Campbell, though I won't predict a win. We will get a chance to see what we are made of for sure. I hope there is a good crowd, the crowd at the Apprentice game (in the first half) seemed to be invested in the game and acting like a real football crowd!

I hope we can pull out a win saturday. Would be good for the program and a big step forward. We should know where we stand after this game and whether or not we have turned the corner and can move toward a winning season.

I think we can beat Jacksonville. I think our boys have grown up and this is one of the games where they can show it. I have predicted a win on the PFL board and I stick with my prediction here 24-21 Camels.

RE: GAME #3 - JACKSONVILLE
Questions about Saturday.....
JU's defense has allowed 30 points in each of their previous games (9-31 @ Citadel, 21-35 @ W Ill, 37-30 v CSU). Will we score 30, too?
Does our "best half of defense in program's 4-year history" at ODU, plus the blanking of the Builders, carry over vs JU?
Camels should be very rested and ready with the schedule thusfar. Are the Dolphins banged-up/fatigued from three tough games already?
Will it still be raining at kickoff??!!!!
I'm saying CU 30 - JU 27.

RE: GAME #3 - JACKSONVILLE L 21-57 (1-2)
First half was acceptable, the second half was not. We didn't seem to play very hard when we got down. It all came down to the key mistakes we made and the way Jacksonville took advantage of them. Next week could be a very difficult one too.

Ouch. Very, very disappointing. I mistakenly thought we were a little further along than what we showed against JU.
Burn the game film and start over.

RE: GAME #3 - JACKSONVILLE L 21-57 (1-2)
Jacksonville put more points on our defense than they ever have. Defense is no further along in my opinion than they were four years ago. Program has actually regressed on defense. Offense looked pretty good at times. Our offense has improved. A dropped touchdown pass and scoring when we are inside the five and we have 35 points. That is enough to win if you have a defense. Offense has too much pressure on it to perform because we have no defense. There was also some horrible officiating saturday but we should expect that. We always get horrible officials. Despite those calls you can't win when you can't stop anybody. Maybe it is just me but we need to burn the black jersey's. We have not won a game with them on and ever who made that decision to wear them in September when it is so hot in the Creek is an idiot. You wear black uniforms in a night game or much cooler games later in the fall. Not at 1 pm on a sunny afternoon in September. Bad decision making. Also how about switch out of the zone defense a few times. Rush the passer and teach the linebackers and defensive backs how to tackle. Maybe dismantle the defense and start all over. How about the head coach and the defensive staff. Promote the offensive coaches they actually know what they are doing.
