The 5 remaining members (BU, KU, KSU, UM, ISU) should pick up TCU, Louisville, Cincinnati, and South Florida...then add BYU, Boise, Air Force, Central Florida, Memphis, Houston and either New Mexico or San Diego State. They become the Big 12 with several major TV markets...

Air Force, Baylor, Boise, BYU, Kansas, Kansas State, New Mexico, TCU
Big 16 (east)
Central Florida, Cincinnati, Houston, Iowa State, Louisville, Memphis, Missouri, South Florida

Most schools have a "natural" rivalry:
Baylor-TCU, KU-K St, Ia St-Mizzou, BYU-Boise, New Mex-AF, UCF-USF, Louisville-Cincy, and Houston-Memphis

Put Missouri on suicide watch if that ever happens.

I know that Mizzou wants the Big 10...but do you really think that happens?

I hate to admit it, Jax, but I included most (not all) of your schools on my own list. If we're going to go all the way to Boise & BYU, then why not include SDSU? It's easier to fly to San Diego than it is to fly to Boise, after all. It's not like anybody's going to go to Boise in a bus.

You are going to have to drop one of the western schools to make room for East Carolina in the East. I suspect it come from AF or New Mexico.

No, but Big 10 could fool us and add Rutgers and Missouri.

I'd really rather not play in the same conference as New Mexico. I'd be more inclined to swap them with Colorado State or something.

The only reason I included New Mexico was for the Albuquerque tv market...after all it seems as if that iwhat it is about...replacing NM with San Diego State would probably be better...

Small voice, I included Boise as the new conference will need their ranking to maintain AQ, I suspect...but maybe not.
