Despite the scheduling problems inherent with them, I think BYU is a wiser far-west partner than Boise. Much easier to get to and their fan base is nationwide.

I'd like to have them both.

Yup...and that hurdle will be gone as well.

I think the Big 12 leftovers will be adding the schools now. Not the Big East. I think something like this is about the best we can hope for. I think it's crucial to get BYU to join the rest of us left-behinds.

I don't think so, if Texas sticks with the Big XII even if Oklahoma/Okie State leave then really it time for Louisville/Cincinnati/USF/TCU & WVU to listen to what they have to offer.

as i said in another thread...I'd rather merge with B12 and Texas and even let Texas still call the shots, have the LHN, and the lion's share of profits than go back to CUSA...no contest here.
