We get confused with UNI because we are known as Northern Illinois and everyone that doesn't know us puts the U in University first instead of last. If we were ONLY known as NIU then we would not get confused with UNI.

Also last year was at the MACC where they had N Illinois on the endzone. I would have rather had the Lions endzone markings than that garbage.

I undestand that there has been a conscious effort (by NIU) to rebrand us as NIU. At least we on this board should be able to run with that.
