Gators on the Coosa

We have alligators in the Coosa River in Wetumpka down near Prattville. The Coosa is a popular river to canoe.

There have been rumors of these beasts being present in Lake Logan Martin as well.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were in Logan Martin.

I have personally seen an alligator (about 6 feet in length) while fishing in the coves near Robert Trent golf course down here in Prattville. I was fishing in my personal inflatable pontoon that sits about 6 inches out of the water. I wasn't too worried since most smaller alligators in Alabama tend to be more afraid of people than we are of them. When given the chance, they flee instead of attack.

RE: Big Gator
Weiss is supposed to have one. When Bear Grylls was in FP for a show, he mentioned the "appearance."
