"Sunday's Heroes"
Can we have a thread on the heroes from the game.

Just like to consolidate thoughts on individual players in a single thread:

1). Cudworth - Did he have more than a dozen tackles, some of which were 'form' tackles with some muscle behind them.

2). Pollard impressed me a lot with his INT (which was a very high quality pick) and coverage.

3). LThomas - I liked his abilities and his play. I remember a TD saving tackle in the first half when the game was 'on the line'.

4). Sherer - very impressive game. Looks like a feature back to me.

5). Greene - apparently he and Sherrer have the attention of Alabama State too.

5). Wait had a really good game on ST making a lot of tackles. Didn't get the kudos he deserved for his play Sunday.

6). Although overshadowed by Cudworth, I thought Poole looked good.

7). I thought Ohrman had a good day too.

RE: "Sunday's Heroes"
1). Cudworth - He lead the team in tackling and was the leader on the field..

2). Pollard did well with his coverage...

3). LThomas - Was all over the field making plays. This guy was hitting people away from the play... He saved a TD

4). Sherer - The freshman RB may not see the field this year if this keeps up...

5). W. Willams and KJ played well.

6). ST gave us good field position for the day, Return team looked good. Lots of bodies were flying around.

7). Coaches made good adjustments.

8) Freshmen did not hurt us.

Every player that worked their butts off thru winter, spring, summer and fall camp, dressed out for Saturday and Sunday, and were excited to play for EMU are all heros in my eyes.

Maybe should have done a 'unsong hereos' shout out esp. for those who play positions which don't get any acclaim yet are vital to the success of a team.

There are a number of positions like that including long snapper, holders, etc. who never get noticed unless something goes wrong.

I must agree. I think the heroes are the fan who came to the game on Saturday and Sunday. Especially the EMU parents who came from outta state to support their sons...

Absolutely.

I saw some parents Saturday nite and they brought the player's aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.

These folks are not within driving distance of Ypsi.

And the defense which gave up but a meager 3 points.

Very little praise for a unit which did its job very, very well.
