Your opening weekend of cfb
I had a great opening weekend of college football despite TCUs loss on Friday. What games did you all go to and or took a interest in and what are your thoughts after week 1?

Went to see CUSE play. First 3 qtrs caused 35-50% of the crowd to leave. Last 15 mins plus OT are what CUSE FB has become under Coach Marrone.

RE: Your opening weekend of cfb
My weekend centered around three games.

1. Wisconsin and UNLV on Thursday night - I was really impressed with the play of Russell Wilson, really gives the Badgers a dynamic threat at the QB position that ey have probably never had. it was hot and humid in the stands, but well worth it.

2. TCU vs Baylor - didn't attend this game but watched it. With the way TCU fought back in the game and the brand new offensive line not giving up and sacks and Pachall showing good poise in his first start I am somewhat optimistic that TCU can still have a solid season. Game 1 to game 2 is typically where the most improvement is seen, will have a better gauge on the defense after the trip to Colorado Springs this weekend.

3. Ohio State vs. Akron - interested in this one because it was the trip for my group of friends who do a cfb road trip each year. First Ohio State game day experience was enjoyable and the Horseshoe is really a impressive venue. The weather was very hot for Columbus in September though. Fickell looked good in his first game as head coach.

Weekend was GREAT/AWESOME

USF over ND
All BEast schools coming out on top,

Low points:
The passing of Lee Roy Selmon

And... Florida, Alabama, but especially LSU and Auburn winning. Always hate SEC teams... but i have friends who root for them. One is a former LSU walk-on player.. another is a UAB grad who knows nothing of UAB football and instead roots for Auburn.

Been great as far as some of the games, and only TCU lost that I was cheering for. Though was an amazing game. But must say was very disappointed because of the weather. 3 College games, and 2 High School games I was watching was delayed for long periods of time, and or called.

Well, I didn't go to any games this weekend thankfully. Had I gone to the Tennessee game, I'd have gotten soaked, like the folks at Michigan, Notre Dame, WVU, etc. That was another game that was delayed by this weekend's horrible weather...

But I did check out a number of games, including all BEast games, and the TCU-Baylor game. TCU may have come up short in their game, but the new QB looked pretty good up until he threw the late INT. He almost led his team back...

The Syracuse-Wake Forest game was one of the most exciting games of the weekend. It involved a late game comeback by the Orange, who won the game in OT. It was the only OT game of the weekend. It's just a pity almost nobody around the country saw it...

USF played a great game at Notre Dame, and even though the Irish marched up and down the field, the Bulls D kept 'em out of the end zone, and provided the points needed to win the game...

Seeing Duke prove themselves once again to be Duke was a riot, as was BC's loss to perennial B1G doormat Northwestern. All I need now is for Maryland to beat Miami tonight...

I also loved seeing Utah State take it to Auburn. I always love to see a big underdog win - unless they're playing WVU. It's just a pity Utah State couldn't finish the job...

I enjoyed watching Boise take it to Georgia, and LSU looked great against the media's overblown darling, Oregon. I could go on. But you get the picture...
