SEC Expansion
What do you think is the best expansion option for the SEC? 14 or 16 teams?
The SEC is by far the strongest conference with the last 5 National Titles coming from the teams from within the conference. I would think if expansion was being considered, the thought would be to expand both the western and eastern divisions equally to prevent any movement of teams between divisions. All of the following teams are beign rumored, which make the most sense?
Missouri, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Pitt, NCST, WVU.

RE: SEC Expansion
I could be completely wrong, but I think the SEC wants to have a balanced expansion. Since aTm is a shoe-in, the conference will probably look East for number 14. WV and VT would both be good candidates. Oddly enough, both schools have more of a Southern/SEC feel to them than many schools further South in the ACC. Clemson would be great, but it is redundant with USC. As for ECU, sorry the SEC looks to want only the top tier school from a state. That would be U of __, or ____ State U.

Then where would Virginia Tech fit into that mold?

RE: SEC Expansion
BTW, I don't want VT unless we take a team from NC, and then we'd have to take another one in the west. I don't want to see a break in the conference, and just taking VT would leave a gaping hole where North Carolina now sits. Our "strawnth", I believe, comes from our contiguity.

RE: SEC Expansion
UNC is the dream choice for the SEC but I think they are too emotionally attached to the ACC. I wouldn't mind bringing them over with UVa.

RE: SEC Expansion
No north carolina team is leaving acc. ECU is a shoe in because of their market. Southern Miss could become a huge market with new ad. Biloxi Gulfport Pensacola and Mobile need a team.

BTW, I don't wish VT unless we yield a aggregation from NC, and again we'd accept to yield addition one in the west. I don't wish to see a breach in the conference, and just demography VT would leave a broad aperture area North Carolina now sits. Our "strawnth", I believe, comes from our contiguity.
