For me I have a couple. 1993 Texas vs Louisville at the Old Cardinal Football Stadium. UofL whips up on the Horns 41-10. Another one of course would be our 2002 win over #4 Florida St in a monsoon. Fans run out onto the fild and tear down the goalposts. Pure excitement.

So for the BE fans, what is your most memorable game you have ever been to?

2003 UL @ USF
2002 USM @ USF (sister brought me because she was here at the time)

While I was in Miami:

2002 FSU @ Miami
2002 Miami @ UF (Girlfriend was a UFer at the time, shoulda known better)

I wish I was at 2001 USF @ Pitt, too.

Last season Rutgers versus Michigan State. There was a certain electricity in the air that day. Then we dominate them defensively, and find a way to win instead of the opposite. At the end of the game the fans flood out of the stands and on to the field and players are hugging everyone especially seniors like Brian Duffy. It felt as though we had finally arrived, the sign one student had up America We Have Arrived was prominently displayed and it seemed fitting at the end of the game.

Then next week same old Rutgers. This year who knows but I think at last its time.

If I'm only talking about my school

1.UC's upset of top 5 Wisconsin in (I think it was '99)

2.UC's should have been upset of eventual national champ OSU in 2001.

3.UC's should have been upset of Purdue in 2000. Illegal substitution that called back a play that would have seen UC pull the upset.....1st ever sellout at Nippert Stadium.

4.Every victory over Miami(OH)

Dang it! I can still see it clear as day. I was on the sunny side of old Cardinal stadium. Brett Favre rolled out of the pocket. I heard the cannon blast that signaled time had expired. Right in front of me, Favre heaved a desperate hail mary down the field. It bounced off the helmet of a Cardinal defender into the the hands of a S. Miss receiver on a dead run down the sideline into the endzone. Game over. Eagles win.

Probably the next would be the first Liberty Bowl we went to and beat Michigan St. Man, that was cold. Sleet and mist. It was magical!

Finally I would have to say that awesome comeback in the Liberty Bowl to beat Memphis. I think it was Redman to Boyd with about 4 seconds left.

Another one that comes to mind is the first UK game at Papa John's. They torched us for 68 points. But man, was it hot. I can't name how many people had to be medically treated that day because of the heat. I went with my 80 year old father. He struggled and head to go under the stands at halftime because of the heat. I wasn't sure he'd make it out of the stands. That was one of the last games we went to together before he passed away. :frown: There's nothing like spending time with your Dad, especially when he's your hero.

USF over Pitt in Pittsburg in 2001. USF was a 22 point underdog and Pitt was ranked #20. Great game. USFs coming out party.............

I saw Rick Pitino get ejected from a game at the Shoe. That was great.

And I'll never forget Donald Little's jump shot to beat Marquette. I remember him taking the shot and all I could think of was "Why? Why is he taking a shot? Of all people, why is he taking the shot?" It of course went in and UC won by one point.

i have to agree w/ that one.

the student section was packed as tight as it could possibly be, and everybody was pretty much holding their breath through the entire game. It was incredibly tense, because so much was riding on it

and then when those final seconds ticked off the clock.... jubilation! That was an incredible experience.

I have a few:

1. CUSA tourny game when Kenyon broke his leg. I have never heard that many people be so quiet.
2. Sitting in floor seats for the 92 Final Four loss to the Fab 5(We had them beat!!!!)
3. Huggs first game at the brand new Shoe, a win at the buzzer(thanks Joe Stiffend) against 20th ranked Minnesota.
4. Football, a loss to D1AA Indiana St at the Hoosier dome during the Dave Curry era. It was so bad and so sparsely attended that when I "you guys suck", half the team heard me and turned around.
5. The previously mentioned Marquette game at the Shoe, loudest I have ever heard it there.

I was at a basketball game down at South Florida against Louisville. The Cardinal mascot bird got ejected from the game for punching a USF cheerleader when they got into a fight. That was funny!

Miami DID win the NC after the 2001 season. They never played OSU that year, and only had one game they won by less than 10 i think. Nebraska looked overmatched in that one.

You must be referring to the 2002 OSU squad, that won the NC on the umpteenth blown call of the game over Miami. At least it was officiated better than 2003 UF-FSU.

1996: ECU 31, Miami 6 - at the Orange Bowl
1999: ECU 27, Miami 23 - "Hurricane Floyd" game played at NC State's stadium
1991: ECU 24, Pitt 23 - Pirates go for 2 w/ 46 seconds left to win it.

Those are three pretty good ones..... 04-cheers

Capital, what happened to the killerfrog board? Why did it suddenly shut down? 03-confused Did you guys just get tired of running it? I knew that the posts became somewhat sparse, but I thought it was only because of the offseason.

The most memorable game for me was right after 9/11 happened and Syracuse played Auburn at the Dome. The patriotic atmosphere at the Dome was unbelievable!

basketball wise - i've been to quite a few GTown games and for the most part they are pretty good games! Quite a few have gone down to the wire! Plus its GTown and SU fans love to see them lose :-)
