The Big APple Bowl idea is alive and well, IMO. The Jets are abandoning the West Side plan, but they're still exploring options for other parts of NYC. If they're willing to spend $800M to get their own house in Manhattan, I suspect they'll look for potentiall cheaper options elsewhere before settling in at the new Giants Stadium. If not, they'll probably foot the cost of a roof over the giants stadium.

While there have been local objections to the initial Flushing Meadows proposal, most of that comes from the loss of park space. Find a way to compensate for that, or build elsewhere, and the support is actually pretty good.

There is still a lot of empty space on the Queens side of the East River. The Jets need to build a new stadium there. It's right across from Manhattan. Perfect spot. That area is mostly old unused warehouses now. It can use the revitalization. The Queensborough Bridge and Long Island Expressway are both in the area, as are stops on the E, G, V, and 7 trains. Bus routes could be added if more become necessary. It's time for the Jets to quit stalling and get a new stadium built in the most sensible location.
