So there has been a lot of discussion on our football team but hows the other fall sports looking? I know Men's soccer had a disappointing year last season, how about the women's? I know we haven't really ever been good at volleyball, didn't keep me from attending many of the games as an undergrad.

I would say out of that group volleyball would be the one to watch. That team looked to be on the verge of something and I think they could put it all together this year. Men's soccer should be improved but the Big South is tough men's soccer conference. The women will again probably be .500 team. I just don't see the necessary pieces to put together a long sustain run in whatever conference they play in.

It will be interesting to watch every sport this year when you consider the Big South All-Sports race (Sasser Cup). No pressure, but Campbell won it the last three years we were in the BSC.

The conference has added football since then, though, and the way they award points is more complicated now since half the schools don't play BSC football....

It's the end of October and the Camels are looking good...

-Both, men's/women's cross-country finished 4th in the conference
-Women's soccer is the 3rd seed in this week's BSC tournament
-Men's soccer is currently 3rd with a week to go in regular season
-Volleyball is tied for 4th with 2 weeks to go in regular season

CU should be at/near the top of the all-sports race with those numbers, but the Big South also figures tournament results into the formula. (The A-Sun didn't.)

Glad we're having a good fall, since we're supposedly finishing 9th in men's hoops (pfft..)!!

Big congrats on an excellent year to our Women's soccer team. Missed the Big Dance by one goal in the 79th minute. Heartbreaker!
