Bennett isn't going anywhere, he's one of the guy you can count on to catch a pass thrown his way, Hurd isn't gonna see the field much as a WR outside of injuries. Bennett will get more playing time than Knox

Seems to me that Knox & Bennett are much more reliable than Hester. Half the time Hester doesn't even catch the ball let alone run the correct direction.
Too bad they have so much money wrapped up in trying to make Hester something he is not....a WR. Last year Knox had the most receiving yards of all of the WRs if I remember correctly. His spot should be a given. Of course this is the Bears we're talking about so nothing will be logical.

Hester has been given a lot of praise by coaches and media this offseason while Knox has been the opposite basically. I like Knox but he runs terrible routes. I'm fairly confident in the receivers this year, wish i could say the same about the OL

Wiskey Dick, on balance I like you, from time to time you make me think about things from a different perspective. That said, can we keep race out of this. At the end of the day what does the amount of melanin that any of us have in our skin have to do with anything?
Because for some reason people seem to grasp on to 5'10 white possession receivers. It's a strange phenomenon. Wes Welker, PJ Fleck, Wayne Cherbet, Joe Jerevicous. Just a strange obsession with these guys.

They made a great point about that on the Score that reporters will say so and so is having a great camp. When in reality they made a couple of great catches or broke off a couple of runs under controlled speeds and conditions. The real test is how well they perform during the second and fourth preseason games.

To me it seems like they praise Hester every preseason. Did Knox get worse? How did he have more catches and way more yards than Hester last year, bad routes or not?

Devin hester has good hands. Devin hester has a hard time comprehending and reading signals. He is in the second year this offense so he should improve and from word out of camp is he has.

Devin Hester is a weapon offensively. He's certainly not an elite wide receiver but make no mistake he is a weapon. As he becomes more adept in Martz's offense his game will go to the next level. Ditto Earl Bennett in my view. I am not bullish on Johnny Knox. I think he is strictly okay. Roy Williams is a total wildcard who is at the end of his chances. He either breaks through or he may have hard time finding work next offseason. I like Sam Hurd as 5th receiver and special team's specialist. He was a solid pickup who should help the Bears.

I'm anxious to see what Williams can do. Glad the Bears just gave him a one year deal, if he wants the big money again he's gonna have to perform
