This is how I envision talks between UH and the Big 12 err UT AD Deloss Dodds.

RK &MR: Hey Deloss , we want to become relevant again. What will it take to get UH in the Big 12.

DD: Well you have to agree that all UH-UT games whether home or away be televised on the Longhorn Network with no financial incentive to UH.

RK & MR: Deloss isn’t that asking a bit much.

DD: Do you want to continue making chump change in C-USA or suck my nads?

RK & MR: Damn, if you put it that way. NO. But what else can we do to persuade you?

DD: Like I said, agree to the LHN and allow UH to be our ***** and I will think about it.

RK & MR. OK. Where do we sign on the dotted line?

DD: Renu and Mack, you have no say in this conference. What I say goes. If we have a 6-6 year and UH has a 9-3 year, we take your spot in whatever bowl game and you will like it.

RK & MR: That isn’t fair or right.

DD: Take it or leave it

RK & MR: OK. Do we get any money for putting up with this?

DD: What I deem appropriate. I will let you know.

My experience with BE fans and their interaction with each other. There may be fans with their differences, but most everyone remains civil and respectful to their other members. The just shear classlessness of the fans within the BIG XII is disturbing.

Again I have said this in another post but I find it funny that you post things if this nature about UH when TT has been doing this for the last 15+ years, and are still groveling at the knees of Deloss and UT trying to find out where UT might take them next.

I'm sure it might go along those lines - and now you know why A&M and Nebraska wanted to get out of this conference. I'm sure the other current members are viewed the same way by UT.

That was pretty lame. I'm sure it went along the lines of Texas telling Houston that they are a strong candidate because they want to keep access to the Houston market. Houston and Texas apparently have been talking for months.

It's as if he thinks TT pulled themselves up from their own bootstraps, ala TCU, with no help from anyone. It is a convenient way to view oneself, truth be damned.

You might want to tone it down. Healthy debate is fine (a few of your posts I read are that), but this sort of flame isn't going to fly.

Sadly, it is talk like this that could make UH the new Tech of the Big XII. No one in the Big XII south likes Tech. Now add UH, and we could take the most hatted spot. OTH, it could bring more unity to the UH community and help to build rivalries that haven't existed for some 15 years.

Now I hope we add a live Cougar on campus and kick the snot out of everyone this season.

Somebody's still pissed that Houston went to 4 Cotton Bowls in 20 years of SWC membership, while Tech went to 1 Cotton Bowl in 35 years, and only then because Texas A&M was ineligible.
