I don't think the loses to Notre Dame and Penn State are that bad or even Illinois. That just is my opinion. I think the average fan across the nation wouldn't even flinch seeing USF lose to Penn State or Notre Dame win, and you guys are acting like the sky is falling. You are the guys that are saying "the big east sucks" and stuff like that. I just said you need to get a grip. Pre Season rankings are as much wrong as right many times.
If you only saw the score why would you come over here and criticize UC? Heck, you read this board so you HEARD the reasons the score was so close. Truthfully, UC gave away free points to Eastern Michigan because of youth and nerves. Bottomline, UC did what they were supposed to do, why you would point out UC I don't understand. This comment is ridiculous on a number of fronts:

Eastern Michigan has 1 winning season (6-5) in the last 15 years playing in the MAC. They shouldn't be in the same ball park as a "BCS" team.

Considering we're one year removed from being a non-BCS school and most of the team is new, yeah I think it's logical to have Eastern Michigan hang with us for a bit. But the difference between "BCS" UC and "non-BCS" UC is that we would have lost a game like this in the past. Or went into overtime. Instead UC jumped on them early and let youthful mistakes and nerves cause them to pull their foot off the throttle. Who cares what Eastern Michigan's record has been in the past, they have an experienced squad returning from a 4-7 team. They're not that far from being a decent squad, if they're not one right now.

Look I would have been disappointed in that score had you guys still been in CUSA. I just don't think E. Mich is a even a decent MAC program and should be playing that close to even Mid to lower level CUSA teams. Granted all teams get scares from time to time, but I would say in the grand scope of respect for the Big East, you better worry more about winning those games more than you losing to Penn State and Notre Dame because they seem to do more damage. Marshall had to come back on a D1aa team and I kind of had the same feeling in CUSA. As long as you don't lose to conferences not in the BCS you shouldn't have a problem and I just don't see the doom and gloom ofr yesterday.
