Kragthorpe has Parkinson's

Crap on him for his head coaching acumen, but I hope he can retain his health.

Yeah, best wishes to his health. What happens on the field is far removed to a persons health, and that family has been through enough. He will remain on as QB coach and relinquish OC duties, thats a nice move by Miles to let him stay on board.

Terrible news for SK and i really hope his health improves.

For LSU though, this won't be a real big change, since SK was an OC in name only. He was really hired to be a QB coach.

MS is no fun. I know this as well as anyone. My wife has it too...

I don't have Parkinson's. But I do have Parkinsonian Syndrome, which comes from too many knocks on the noggin, and it mimics the symptoms of Parkinson's...

So basically, I'm in the same boat... 03-banghead

Bit:
Very sorry to hear about your wife and you facing these diseases (or, in your case, Parkinson's symptoms). My aunt has had Parkinson's for 20 years now so I know it is no picnic.

You and I have had some spirited debates on here but I have a lot of respect for you as a fellow FB fan and very intelligent poster.

May God bless you and your wife and keep both of you healthy.

RE: Kragthorpe has Parkinson's
We're doing fine, Eagle. Fortunately, the newer medications for MS provide hope for those with the illness. My wife is part of an experiment using Rebif (beta-interferon) combined with IVIG (intravenous immuno-globulin gamma). Since she's been on this treatment, one area of her brain which showed no activity has come back to life, and her balance and coordination has improved tremendously. She gets knocked flat for a couple of days by the IVIG, but it's a minor inconvenience compared to what we were dealing with...

My problem is a little different. Eventually, I'll shake and shiver like Muhammad Ali, if I live long enough. There's not much they can do for repeated head injuries. But I'm part of the Boston University Contact Study (the concussion study for the NFL), and they should get some interesting data from the analysis of my brain. It's probably gone through more than anyone else's has in this study. I've had 2 confirmed traumatic brain injuries, and well over 30 major concussions...

I just look at it this way, when I need a walker, I can use her wheelchair for the purpose. We'll still be able to get around...
