According to this article posted on the expansion board by the poster formally known as Animus.
Quote:Marinatto sees numbers in the 19 to 23 million per team range which the SEC, Big Ten and Pac-12 have signed off on in recent months."

Here is a more in depth article about potential numbers for new tv deal:

http://www.boston.com/sports/colleges/ex...onfid.html

At the end of this article it mentions approximately $15 million. That maybe the reporters opinion.

I haven't had a chance to read it yet (a little tied up), but I mean it's not like he is gong to lowball the number. That would be stupid. But I hope to read this shortly, and hope there is good old fashion raw data.

There is no raw data. Just a reporter who did not get really in depth. But its good to see the league throw out some numbers. I still think the league ends up between $15-$17 million per school, probably closer to $17 million.

Nobody knows what actual dollar amount we are talking about here. The reporter is just throwing out his opinion. It would be stupid right now for the BE to settle for $15M per year though.

Marinnato did mention in his press coverage that BE will once again equal to other major conferences in money and exposure. Perhaps he knows something we don't know, but by major conferences I am assuming he is referring to SEC/PAC-12/B11 rather than ACC.

How much does the ACC make per school?

$12.9M and they are locked in for the next 12 years I believe. They will be well behind when the BE announces the new deal.

Is this Marinnatto's shot across the bow of the ACC, much as if the SEC issued an open invite to Texas A&M?

I know. Marinatto apparently said between $19-$23 million and then the writer ends with $15 million? Maybe that was the figure if no new teams are added?

Cheers,
Neil

I want to see where another writer picked this up. Didn't see any other writer mention that today.

I believe this same writer wrote a puff piece on BC athletics about a month ago with BC's AD mentioning that they made the right move, but the comments under the article weren't as complimentary.

He is a Boston Globe writer that covers BC, so it's not as if he may have an interest in skewing peoples thoughts, or anything.

Is that $19 Million figure just supposed to represent the Big East's TV money or does that include BCS money, other bowls and NCAA tournament revenues?

BC would jump at the chance to rejoin the BE if the money was the same or close to the ACC's. They'd flip back- why not. They're BC (Benedict College) -- ALL FOR FUN, LOYAL TO NONE.
