I'm going to vote for Romney in the GOP primary. He may be able to return some rationality to the GOP. That would be good for America.

RE: Obabba Loses 2012 Election to any GOP Candidate by 8 Points
Polls today mean little because it's going to depend on what happens to the economy. If it turns around between now and November 2012, Obama wins. If it's as bad or worse, Obama loses.

Any poll taken today must reflect some support for Obama from people whose expectations are that things will be better next year, and some opposition from people who think things will be worse. The numbers will swing based on whose expectations are realized.

I saw an article yesterday advancing the idea that some congressional republicans, particularly those elected for the first time in 2010, could be in trouble if the economy does not improve. If Obama and the media can successfully blame things on the republicans, that will happen.

We need north of 200,000 jobs a month and even then employment will dominate in 2012

And we're not going to sniff 200,000 jobs a month on a consistent basis with current policies.

I attended a conference last week of attorneys and CPAs who serve small business clients around the country. There are those who think I am overly pessimistic about our economic future, but in that crowd I was the optimist. I guess that's because I am in Texas where the economy is better than most other places, but I was blown away by just how badly small businesses nationwide see things.

I didn't get the idea that a 3% tax hike is of much concern to small business owners, and therefore I think that's one thing republicans should give in on to get a deficit reduction deal. But what is going to be the real impact of Obamacare, and how we are going to repay the deficit (which is going to be a lot more than a 3% tax hike) seem to be the real concerns halting job growth.

Pretty universally, businesses with 40 are so employees are intending to stay below 50, and businesses with slightly over 50 are planning to drop below 50, before Obamacare kicks in. That cannot be good for jobs.

Keep thinking that.

Whoever wins the GOP primary is going to all the sudden have all stars advising them. They'll wipe the floor with Obama in the general election.

He's toast. Might as well get used to it.

Throw back Thursday. Remember when you had real candidates to get behind. Even the posters were better back then. Now the "B" team has taken over and it's just not the same. 05-stirthepot

Angry SOAF, Dr. Torch, Rebel, SMN, Robert N were so much better. CB vs Rebel banter was HOF worthy.

Hmm. People complain, get people warned and banned, then reminisce and pine for 'em after they're gone.
