This article on BYU and B12 (coming threat to BE)
This is only a speculation article. However, it makes good points. I feel if this article came to fruition it may well affect Louisville and/or the Big East. It makes me realize how important the 10th team is to the Big East's survival and Villanova or UCF cannot save us!

A conference will come calling for Cougars

No school coming to the Big East would stop Louisville from heading to the B12. But I'm not sure how that link convinces me that Louisville is headed to the B12 as well.

RE: This article on BYU and B12 (coming threat to BE)
Well, their is a lot of talking from B12 sites and region newspaper about adding BYU and Louisville. The article and the attached polls clearly show the BYU people clearly want to join the B12 or the PAC 12, if asked. If approached right now given the unstable state of the Big East and what appears to be a lack of leadership, how could Louisville afford to say no at that point. animus I want the Big East to fix its problems, keeping football save and profitable. I just saying now would be a time where it would be hard to turndown a B12 invite if offered. I would understand any football school that left right now. You could not blame them. Just sayin....

If you think there are politics in the Big East, wait until you see the Big 12.

What UTexas wants, UTexas gets. End of story.

If Louisville wants to go to the Big XII, let them. Good riddance, I'd say too. Let them bend over for Texas all they want. The BEast needs members who WANT to be here. If UofL has no desire to be in the conference, we could boot them immediately so they can seek whatever association they desire. That would give us more flexibility in our expansion options...

I'm sure the Big XII will just leap to the Cards rescue... 03-lmfao

I respectfully disagree with your first sentence because I wholly agree with your second sentence. There are no politics in the Bevo 10 conference, what Texas wants, Texas gets.

Exactly H-Town 03-lmfao The fact that it's a dictatorship kind of belies the statement that there are politics of any sort.

RE: This article on BYU and B12 (coming threat to BE)
One premise the article makes is that the PAC 12 may come calling for BYU. Not happening unless Cal gets an epiphany. Can't see many other schools in a hurry to invite them, either.

The Bevo 10 (Big 12) may be interested but I'm sure they will look over all options before sending the gold embossed invite.

The reality is that the Big East is probably their best hope.

BYU ain't going to the Pac Tin - even if Berkeley slides into the ocean. Cal isn't the only school that has no desire to see BYU in the conference...

Truth be told West Virginia would leave tomorrow for the B12, if asked.

You and I know that but the BYU fans voted B12 first and PAC 12 next, BE only got 4% of their vote.

Any Big East team would leave for the SEC. WVU wouldn't leave for the Bevo 10.

Just because BYU fans like the Pac Tin doesn't mean the Pac Tin likes them - and THAT'S who really counts in this matter...

Of course. BYU better join the Big East while they can, unless they are sure the B12 will take them. Are they will be forever a mid-major independent.

RE: This article on BYU and B12 (coming threat to BE)
BYU wants into the Big 12 but it will not happen without Notre Dame or Arkansas. Simply put, while BYU may be Big 12 worthy BYU plus the other realistic possibilities hurt most Big 12 schools.

This is just another typical Deseret news article out to stroke BYU egos. BYU is probably about as important as a Mizzou.

I dont see Texas allowing the Big12 to go back to 12 and a championship game unless the league attracts a BIG name school that would bring that extra cash an attention. Notre Dame is once again the golden goose
