Heading for Fayetteville- bring on the hogs
If Troy beats FAU tonight, we are headed or the championship game on Sunday. So we could be one win away from the NCAA tournament. Under that scenario, we can save all our best pitchers for Sunday and pitch a couple of position players in Saturday's meaningless game. If FAU wins tonight, I assume we would have to beat them on Saturday. Although if WKU, also beats Troy, there could be a 3-way tie and then I'm not sure what happens.
If we get to Sunday, which seems quite likely right now, and win we will probably play UAF in Fayetteville next Friday night. Yncopirt, we may have to make a pit stop, on the way to Branson next Friday, if this all comes to pass. A crazy year for UALR athletics might just get a little crazier.

I'm hearing on the main board that the first tiebreaker for even records in pool play goes to the higher seed. Looks like we may have to win all three.

I think that is the case in a 3-way tie. If Troy and us finish 2-1, I believe we advance based on head to head.

The higher seed tiebreaker only comes into play in the event of a three-way tie. In a two-way tie, the tiebreaker is the head-to-head result. Troy is up 2-1 on FAU after 4 innings. If they can hold on, Little Rock will be playing for a spot in a regional on Sunday. Little Rock's worst case is a 2-1 record, and y'all would have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the winner of the WKU-Troy game, who would also be 2-1. With a Troy win tonight, both Troy and WKU would be 1-1 going into their game against each other, so it wouldd be for both Troy and WKU to finish 2-1, so you should be a Troy fan this evening.
