But according to ESPN's bracketology (yes even for baseball), the Big Ten will get only one team and it will be a 4 seed. But of course they have Kent State as a 4 seed as well.

I know those predictions came out prior to conference championship tournaments, but I find it hard to believe Kent St would be a 4 seed in any region. There are 20 automatic qualifiers with an RPI worse than Kent St, which suggests they should not be worse than a 3 seed, then again this is the NCAA and the MAC. Good Luck to the Golden Flashes wherever they end up!!! The selection show is at 12:30 on ESPN.

Very nice article today in the Cleveland PD about KSU baseball.
Those that follow the program have known that pitching coach Mike Birkbeck is one of the main reason the Flashes have continued success.

Fourteen years, nineteen pitchers drafted by MLB from KSU. Pitchers want to pitch at KSU because Birkbeck has shown he can coach them on to the big leagues. Great guy, too.

Coach Stricklin says he doubts KSU would have received an at-large bid despite the record, RPI and ranking. The southern teams dominate the politics of the sport.

Kent St is the 3 seed in the Austin Bracket. They get 2 seed Texas St in the first game. Winner likely gets Texas in the 2nd game.
