Doesn't matter if they are... Big East fans are just tired of CUSA fans turning every thread into about their schools when you have dozens of threads pertaining to those specific schools. I'll start a thread just pertaining to markets. And yes I agree that markets aren't everything.

Yeah, people said TCU wasn't going to join the Big East and they did...I learned the hard way to never say never. I was one of those folks who scoffed at the TCU idea and was thankfully proven wrong. Quite honestly, if BYU comes on board then both Houston and Memphis top the list in order to go East/West so this pissing match between you two is moot.

Market just represent potential customers. It's just that simple. How many customers buy your product (tix or TV) will directly relate to the quality of the product. Obviously, the bigger the market, the more potential customers to draw from. Probably a bigger factor for TV viewership than actually selling tickets, where your stadium size is the limiting factor. BCS football is a better product for any school. Sure most of the schools we're talking about have some 'big brother' competition around, but Houston was rocking when the Coogs were in the national rankings a couple of years ago before Case got hurt. People will always turn out for a winner. Others have made this point on this forum, but one reason most of these 'college town' big schools do SO well (when they are not winning) is they are the only game in town.

It's bound to happen after awhile. UCF/ECU/Houston all start comparing their qualities against each other after awhile. More BYU/western teams/Big East oriented conversation on the Big East general board. It is just a fact of life on this board and its pointless to fight it as long as the big east is under 16 football members. lol

Hey, I tried to keep it brief. Someone else (ECU fan) seems to have had a bad day.

What I like just as much as the CUSA pissing contests are the inevitable posts (that usually start within the first five posts in any thread) that have a totally unwarranted breakdown of what the conference and divisions would or should be.

What I find amusing about all the CUSA teams......is they all like to argue why each one is better....and then you mention BYU. Their response to that is......"Oh, that is a pipe dream....that will NEVER happen. Stop bringing it up". Yet that is exactly what they said, everytime we brought up TCU before November.

Hahaha...I agree 100%. These "Dream Conference" scenarios are usually quite silly. I appreciate the posters that at least have the courtesy to put them in their own thread.
