NO. FIFA is no different from the IOC. Plus, I do believe that in some cultures "bribery" is more kosher than others.

At worst, FIFA will tell their officials not to do it again. You know, the NCAA to UT standard response.

Here's more news that just popped up today.

http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/news/_/...ld-cup-bid

I've also heard that Qatar bought it's bid to prevent Australia from hosting.

I just hope this leads to a re-vote for the 2022 WC, or better yet, just awarding it to the US who came in 2nd. But I doubt it'll happen.

Nothing will come of this. Who in the world actually thought that Qatar won the vote straight up? In no way were they on par in any way with anyone else who bid for 2022. It probably should've gone to Australia as they would put on a great WC and they've never hosted, but I would sure have loved it to be us.

As far as Qatar hosting it, I've always believed they would never pull it off and they probably wont host it in 2022. However, their failures will have nothing to do with bribery during bid selection and everything to do with the fact that freaking Qatar is trying to put on a WC in the middle of the summer, in the middle east, starting with no soccer infrastructure, and the funds to build that infrastructure being based on a market rife with speculation.

If they do pull off the WC in 2022 it will be one of the greatest engineering achievements in the history of the world. ******* Cutter isn't going to pull that off.
