Exempt Tournament For 2011-12?
Has anybody heard anything about whether Little Rock will be participating in an Exempt Tournament next year like we did in Vegas last year? There are tons of these tournaments out there, and it allows teams to play 31 regular season games. And, if we could get into the right one, we could get a big boy on a neutral floor. I sure hope we are trying to get into one for the coming season.

I like those events, but they shouldn't call them tournaments. Tournaments decide champions, these don't seem to. They're more like jamborees.

Additionally, I'd like to see us in an ACTUAL tournament, like the NIT or the Paradise Island Jam or something of that nature.

Boy, so would I, but not so much the preseason NIT because you still have to play on the home floor of a BCS team. And the sad truth of the matter is that I don't think we can afford to go to something like the Paradise Jam. While I'm sure teams get some amount of money for participating, I don't think it would come close to covering the costs of going to the Virgin Islands. And since this program is obviously not rolling in dough, I'm afraid we're out of luck on that type of tournament location.
