Then again it wouldn't be the first time he lied. Until recently he had been telling recruits about his days about his days with the Village People.....although I'm not sure why he would think that would impress them. Scary!

When he got called on this he quickly spun it by saying that he often confuses those Village People days with his time with the Jackson 5.

He was eventually fired when it was found it he lied on his resume about being African American....

Most interesting info that slipped out of the Tampa Tribune article today was that because of what O'Leary said last night...it finally got USF to confirm that yes, hell might have frozen over...as both teams have had talks recently about renewing the series.

From Tampa Tribune article:
http://www.tampabay.com/sports/college/u...cf/1166798

(USF) Assistant athletic director Jeremy Sharpe said Tuesday that USF athletic director Doug Woolard and UCF athletic director Keith Tribble have had discussions about the possibility of resuming the rivalry...

Funny how NO ONE had that info prior to last nights comments.03-nutkick

Actually KL, we have had that information for a couple years as The Jim himself said that he would be open to the series again down the road. This is prior to CJL becoming a LB coach for the 49ers. Again, you guys have a hard time accepting that we would drop our series for an opportunity to play 5-time National Champion Miami. We that series now in doubt its only natural to hear these type of discussion come back again.

Looks that way, which surprises me that a USF guy would report it. He was using O'L's quotes, but, as stated, we all know how that goes 03-lmfao
Was this game on O'Leary's resume? 05-stirthepot

Exactly. If Miami had continued the series, then this wouldn't even be on the table. Since the Hurricanes have decided not to continue it, then UCF will be considered again.

Simple as that.

So predictable..I knew I could always count on you two!!

Funny how NEITHER of you noted that as soon as USF killed off the series with UCF, USF signed a home-home deal with THEN Div I-AA Western Kentucky (that would be moving up to Div I-A) and also home-home deal with Ball State.

Sorry I had to remind you two of those series again....

Glad this is not a rivalry....

PS. Thank goodness for Skip Holtz...as he is finally leading the charge as he was slightly "ticked off" at USF's home schedule and home attendance during his first year at USF (less than 30,000 average in the stands in the 65,000 plus seat stadium) which was about 20,000 less vs the program he left to jump ship to USF...so I think he is definitely pushing Woolard to talk to Tribble again...so a series like this can help USF (and UCF of course) attendance grow.

USF didn't create that name.......that was the UCF'ers doing. But we did steal the "Hook Em Horns" from the Longhorns.......I will admit when I go to games......when I see all of those Bulls signs with the hands.....in the back of my head, I immediately think of Texas and then have to remind myself.....I am at a USF game.

Lot's do it......like the Braves with the Tomahawk Chop but I still find it annoying.

I also find the similarity of the USF and FSU fight songs annoying. Hearing both chants up in Tallahassee was really iritating....really?!?....we are going to both do the same chant at the same game.....I know they are in our Fight Song but c'mon. All we are doing is rearranging the letters......Florida State - South Florida.....we only changed 4 letters.

Although this is off topic, it's pretty funny going to a game at Cal when they play UCLA. For those who don't know the history, UCLA more or less started as a branch campus of Cal (which is the flagship), and they essentially used the same colors (blue and gold, just a different shade of blue), mascot (a bruin, a type of bear) and fight song (even going so far as to hire Cal's musical director, who simply used the same song). So when UCLA comes to Berkeley, the chants of "copycats" and "get your own damn fight song" start up whenever UCLA's band starts playing.

Brista, no worries. You really think Resume jokes are going to get under our skin now? It's been ten years and 3 Conference Coach of the Years since then, us UCF'ers have long gotten over that.

Oh, you guys gonna brag about beating a lil'ole non-AQ team?

And records don't mean anything if you stop while you're ahead. UF would have been 9-0 against FSU if they had the ability to stop when they wanted.

Looks like this thread should be moved to the smack forum. There is no need for all of this rancor on the BE board - especially since the smack talkers are CUSA guys.

Thats always the answer of the team that hasnt won. The truth you had four shots at USF and couldnt do it. It only took USF ONE shot to beat the Noles and three to beat UM.
