I've flown Beechcraft, Piper, and Cessnas. They were easy as hell. Had a friend take me up in an R44 and it was the hardest damn thing I'd ever done. Alright jackwagon, let me lay it out for your armchair general ass. Its called interservice rivalries. We give each other sh*t. The SOP is gay jokes. But given you're apparent lack of knowledge of how the military works and its culture, as demonstrated by your clear lack of understanding of the naval aviation pipeline, I guess I have to explain it for you. Yeah, I wanted to fly jets, but was just shy of the NSS. Which means I'm right in the middle of my class, where about 85% of flight students are. Where does our bottom of the class go? Home. Oh, and we have individuals here who graduated with top scores, as does the E-6 pipeline. And you know what many of the top Tailhook graduates usually end up flying? E-2/C-2s. Last I checked, those were hardly pointy-noses. So why don't you sit down, shut up, curl up in the blanket of freedom provided to you by others, and go troll another board?

P.S. And tell all those Coastie pilots that haul your drowning ass out of the water that they were bottom dwellers too. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to toss you back in since you evidently don't trust them to fly.

Trashing a military member is where I draw the f'n line. Mr. Xentrick at MT.Org is about as politically different from me as one could be, but he knows I respect his service. You're also a charter member who I've seen go from a teen in HS to Virginia Tech, Commissioning, and onto flight school.

There is an issue with starting this, but from my briefing from my reserve leadership and the opinions of the Chiefs i can tell you that it won't take long to get on the road, especially for us. In my position right now I can tell you that as long as you can man the gun (no pun intended), I don't care if you are into dolphin sex.

Wouldn't this benefit the squids the most in the first place? They already wear bellbottoms and now they can just come out and say it.

We had a CG guy stand up and ask a question today about whether the policy was the same since they were DHS. Our GC's have their own policy and programs separate from DADT. No one really had the answer to the first question, but I figure you would probably know more. Like I said earlier, I don't think it will be affect the initial readiness of the fleet, but will have a noticeable long term impact. Besides, I don't think Kanye West has any intentions of joining up.
