RE: Good Basketball Recruiting News for TCU
Rhoomes was a good grab for Christian late in the recruiting period, no way TCU would have landed Rhoomes if they were not headed to the Big East. I will be interested to see how Christian does in a full recruiting season of kids knowing that TCU is heading to the BE in 2012.

I hate to be a eternal optimist of TCU hoops, but I think TCU will be much improved in the MWC next year and hopefully that can parlay into a solid recruiting class.

Having that "BCS" tag now associated with them on top of coming into the best bball conference in the nation is already paying off for the Frogs. Cant wait to see ya'll in 2012!

That's what every TCU fan that still follows basketball said after last year's recruiting class that hasn't turned out so great.

Come on Section31, your signature should include something about “Eternal Pessimist and ‘Squasher’ of Dreams”. Let us bask in a little optimism with this recuirting class. That is a significant percentage of the value of recruiting season for us fans.

Well, it looked pretty good for us on paper when Christian signed the class last year. We hadn't yet learned that Andre Clark was not going to play a minute with a knee injury that ended his career and that the other transfer counted on to make an immediate impact (Sammy Yeager) could score, but was such a big knucklehead that he got booted from the team. Gacesa never really fully recovered from his knee injury at FIU either.

I will say that Cadot was playing really well for us the last half of the year, and Freshmen Amric Fields should be an asset for us in the BE. Jury is still out on Jarvis Ray.

That is why I said I hate to be a eternal optimist...

TCU adds #4 to this class; Nathanial Butler a 6'6" SG/SF from John A Logan CC. Butler picked TCU over a offer from Southern Cal. One more spot left in the class, which TCU hopes to use for a HS or Prep School PG.

Frogs add #5 to this recruiting class with the commitment of Kyan Anderson a pg out of North Crowley HS in the Fort Worth area. Anderson oringinally signed with Providence but was granted his release when Keno Davis was let go.

Anderson had offers from Providence, Houston, Wake Forest, and Southern Cal among others.

RE: Good Basketball Recruiting News for TCU
One of the big knocks on Jim Christian in his first few years was that he couldn't recruit- and especially locally. We won't know just how good these kids are until they're on the court at TCU, but so far we like what we're hearing.

It already has been, looking forward to the 2012 class which TCU will have the BE to use the entire recruiting period instead of only in the spring.
