Chicago, IL: Big East Thinking About Expanding..Again
But there's a few worth looking at including one in particular, Central Florida. With Orlando, a semi-competent football history and being in the state of Florida for recruiting purposes (along with an upwardly mobile athletic department willing to take steps to make such a move) the Knights offer logical addition to the Big East. Also, Houston could be another school that makes sense if 12 really is the goal.

I know for a fact Pitt is lobbying very hard for UCF to become number 10. As much as we appreciate Nova and what they bring to the conference, after seeing what the BIG 12 did with their television contract, the Big East should be able to do something similiar. Its our time. Look for an addition before July 1st.

I agree let's pull the trigger and start the gun fight with the BB only. Add UCF, Nice roady for me and the grandkids.

Plus I never really liked that USF is hanging off on the extremes, it disturbs my sense of orderliness. Same is true for TCU.... add Houston, lots of history and a big market.

Then add ECU.... not sure they add to any TV contract right way, but I love their fans.

I am confident if the Big East goes to 12 without Nova, then that is the exact lineup we will see. UH, UCF, and ECU
Split or no split.
