Anyone remember Sandiss last statements....
I believe it was 12/20 by 2012....

Seems the Nova situation could be leading this way.

Grab your popcorn....

Well it was that the Big East was moving towards a 12/20 configuration by 2012. This was long before the November meetings and TCU addition.

TCU is the first piece
Nova not moving up would be the second piece
Now adding 3 all sports schools would be the third piece.

And it would have to be done by early June to play football in 2012 in the Big East conference.

Jes sayin...1 down, the next has been knocked down, we'll see if they can get up by June 1 (the deadline for applying for D-1 addition-to play by 2013)...

I'm pretty certain Sandiss has NEVER come out and said any of those things. He's written very cryptically things like "2012, 2012, 2012" and allowed people to read into that what they wanted.

There's a handy feature called "Search" that will let you find every post Sandiss has ever made.

I just listed what is going on, I didnt mean to imply that Sandiss said those things would happen. Sandiss said there is pressure for 12/20 by 2012...

Again, he never said how it was going to happen, that is where I came up with a list of activities.

I like Sandiss. I really do. But Sandiss also said that the idea of adding TCU was laughable. And this wasn't a passing mention, I mean he made it a point to say that just the idea of mentioning adding them was just hilarious. I realize that people can change their mind, but to go from a laughable proposition from 100% of the the presidents, to a 100% all-sports invite four months later is hardly a small change. I am sorry, but that part really makes his source's information very, very, non-credible at this point.

Plus, didn't he also say that Seton Hall would be given the boot?

I think he has an actual source. His disregard for TCU was so strong that it seemed like someone went out of their way to hide the TCU thing in plain sight. I mean he didn't really have to crap all over TCU for no reason. The geography alone was enough to make people look the other way. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" or whatever.

At some point, he did say that the notion of TCU was laughed at, the most recent post said there had been limited contact by Presidents/AD and within two months TCU was added to the BE. Seems some that laughed at the idea originally were set straight (probably by looking at the numbers).

I still contend that the BCS may move to a per school allocation which would actually encourage Big East expansion. At this point the BE is sitting at 9 football schools, 4 others have 12 and one other is losing two and has not taken action. The BCS is in a bit of a state of flux right now with the Fiesta Bowl situation and I am speculating here that the BCS may be morphing some in the next few years.

He does: his father. I was saying it makes his father's information less credible.

Yeah he just swoops in and said his dad is a big booster at G'town so that makes him connected to prez and commish decisions about the BE? I think not

Please continue to randomly post your famous line.
At first it annoyed me, but now I think it is funny.
I have even seen you post it on WVU, PITT, and Nova boards.
