It's taken me almost a year to realize this (and maybe someone has already posted it), but Calvin Talford won the very FIRST NCAA slam dunk contest (1992), and Paul Hoilman won the very FIRST NCAA home run contest (2010). That's two times ETSU has been the very FIRST of ALL universities to do something noteworthy in two major college sports. That distinction can never be taken away from ETSU, and no other university will ever be able to claim it.
