This has probably been posted before, but it's the off season and TOGC needs more excuses to make fun of everyone.

To make some meaningful discussion from this, the average CUSA school is paying out about 10million more than MAC and Sun Belt schools. I didn't look into the WAC or MWAC, but I did look at Loser Tech. They're middle of the pack Sun Belt wise.

If our athletic department put as much emphasis on raising money for football as they do for hoops, we'd have a bcs level budget......and a lot more wins in football lol.

Yeah, you guys do really well with that Sun Belt budget. It'd be interesting to see what you could do with another 10 million or so.

Scary to think what might happen if we actually had a budget.

I've been pretty consistent over the years in saying that USM may get more out of their athletic dollar than anyone in the country. It's amazing.

RE: Conference USA Athletic Budgets
We had around a $8 million dollar athletic budget when I went to UCF (1998). That is pretty good growth! We played in a garage for hoops with 500 people. Our enrollment was only around 28K in 1998.

It must be fun for the new students that get access to the rec center, new arena, new football stadium, athletic village, etc.

Are all those schools in CUSA? Memphis State and Eastern Carolina are expansion teams?

Nope. Some of the possible expansion teams include Northern Texas, Synagogue, and Florida Local.
